we're back!

After a week or so of being off line we're back on again. our move to the boat was very successful, a few hurdles in the beginning but we're cruising now! Only a day or so in and we were already ripping out shelves and wall units etc. We are working on a grand plan to renovate the interior completely which will have to be ready for Summer. We have Jerry (alias Jarred Holt) coming late may, then Claire, then Ron and Fiona so we have lots to look forward to.
starting to meet all the other residents in the mooring which has been great. they're all incredibly friendly and helpful.

Here's some shots of the work so far.....

Thanks Andrew and Vicki for having us stay with you for the last two months. We've had lots of laughs and you've been a constant source of helpful information which has made our move so much smoother than it could have been.

winter wonderland

It's been snowing for the last few days off and on. So beautiful to wake up and see the snow covering the ground. Hasn't been cold enough for it to stay though and it has been melting by mid morning.

it's snowing again!

It's snowing again! Enough to cover the ground without melting! Weeeeeeeee!

and more snow!

Today as I walked home from work it began to snow, quite heavily and in large flakes. I loved every minute of it! Pure bliss! It was still snowing as I boarded the train but I was quickly whisked off into the depths of the London underground where I was no longer aware of my surroundings. When I got off the train the sun was setting and the only trace of snow was the wet footpath below my feet. Sigh ....

snow!

Tonight we have had the first snowfall since we arrived 7 weeks ago. It was short but sweet and hopefully there is more to come. The forecast over the next few days is around -1 to 0 deg so you never know!

workin' nine to five

What a way to make a livin' .... I've finally managed to find a job as a Communication Support Worker at a Deaf School in London. I've been offered a temporary position from now until Easter starting on Monday morning. I'm totally out of my depth but am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to start working. Six weeks of daytime TV does your head in. Although I have to say I have become rather fond of Richard and Judy.
